Introducing REJURAN Polynucleotides
Welcoming a second and exciting bio remodelling treatment.into the Agewell Clinic.
Bio-remodelling forms a significant component of my Regenerative Aesthetics work as I strive to improve the texture tone, hydration and quality of your skin layers without looking to augment facial shape and keeping it very natural.
This treatment formed part of my UK training in 2023 but it was yet to be TGA approved for Australian use. It had been used for over 10 years in the Korean aesthetic market, and during the last decade, over 10 million REJURAN doses have been used by medical professionals globally with no adverse events reported.
REJURAN is now (2024) included in the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods and is exported globally to over 20 countries.
So what is REJURAN?
REJURAN is a polynucleotide with the aim of creating a fundamental shift in the skin’s quality.
Polynucleotides (PN) are long chains of amino acids that are found naturally in the body. They represent a medical-grade concept of bio-regeneration, using DNA fragments of a specific size derived from wild-caught salmon. These fragments are sterilized, slow-degrading, denatured DNA segments, processed with proprietary DNA-optimizing technology.
The fragments stimulate regeneration and repair damaged skin while reducing unwanted inflammation. This helps to keep the treated areas young and healthy by delivering biocompatible PN directly into the skin, improving its overall physiological condition from the inside out. PN is proven to be highly compatible with human skin without causing adverse effects.
The benefited areas include the forehead, temples, cheeks, and delicate peri orbital area. This treatment is also excellent for addressing scar tissue.
Excellent Skin Recovery:
REJURAN activates the self-regenerative ability of the skin and improves various skin concerns such as deeper wrinkles, scars, and large pores.
Improves Fine Wrinkles and Skin Elasticity:
REJURAN promotes the secretion of collagen by stimulating fibroblasts and supports restoration within the extracellular matrix, which becomes thin and damaged with aging.
Glowing Skin Tone and Texture:
REJURAN improves pigmentation and brightness of skin complexions, especially when used in combination with other regenerative aesthetic treatments. Patients report improved tone, luminosity and smoother skin.
High Profile Safety Data:
In a phase 3, randomized double-blind active clinical trials, the durability, efficacy, and safety of the molecule was reported when used to treat crow’s feet wrinkles. Three groups totaling 72 participants were randomized to receive saline injections, HA injections alone, or polynucleotides alone. Treatments were performed every 2 weeks for a total of 3 treatments and observed over 12 weeks. Upon assessment, the polynucleotides group showed the greatest elasticity, collagen composition, and improvement in skin surface roughness and wrinkle depth. The study concluded that REJURAN can be used to reduce wrinkles with strong evidence for safety and efficacy.
Who is Suitable for This Treatment?
Those who desire natural, healthy, and firmer skin, both male and female.
Those who have dark circles under eyes and dull skin.
Those who have fine facial wrinkles.
Those who have sensitive and thin skin.
Those who do not want fillers.
Those with saggy skin, acne scars, and stretch marks.
Vegans and those with reported allergy to seafood due to the denaturing of the molecule for human application.
What Should I Do After the Treatment?
Expect slight redness; marks or bumps may appear, fading within 1-2 days.
Avoid hot environments like saunas immediately after the treatment to aid comfortable skin recovery.
Refrain from excessive massage or rubbing of the treated area to allow natural healing.
Apply sunscreen with high SPF to shield the skin from the sun and prevent pigmentation.
Avoid application of active cosmeceuticals, Retinols, and Vitamin C for 48 hours.
How Frequently Is the Treatment Required?
REJURAN is not a conventional filler and does not behave the same. It works by activating the skin’s own regenerative ability to restore its collagen structure and increase skin elasticity. This allows your skin to recover with an initial course of 3 treatments, with intervals of 2-4 weeks between sessions. A booster treatment is recommended every 12 months.
I look forward to discussing this treatment with you at your consultation in the Agewell clinic.
